Four situations that surprise visitors, and what to do.
The airport taxi has no meter.
Normal
Agree the price before you get in. To the Marrakech medina, 100–150 MAD is the usual range.
The taxi drops you at a gate, not at your riad.
Normal
Cars can’t enter most of the medina. Ask your riad to meet you at the gate.
The rental company wants a big deposit.
Be careful
€300–1,000 on a credit card is common. Get it in writing and film every scratch before you leave.
You plan to pay the motorway toll by card.
Be careful
Toll machines take only Moroccan cards. Keep cash in dirhams for tolls.

Sahla means “easy” in Moroccan Arabic. We help travellers pay the fair price in Morocco: real prices with dates, honest tips, and the free option when it is the better one.
Some buttons are affiliate links. If you book through them, the partner pays us a small commission and your price stays the same. We still show the free options, like the bus, because a fair price matters more than a click.
